The England Open Pairs Championship, held at Seal Bay Resort and proudly sponsored by Seal Bay Resort and One80 Darts, attracted a huge field of pairs from across the country, producing a weekend of high-quality darts before George Willetts and Kieron Bridgwater emerged as worthy champions.
Willetts and Bridgwater enjoyed a superb run through the competition, demonstrating consistency and composure throughout. Their campaign began with a convincing 3-0 victory over Mitchell and James Atkins before further wins against Alfie Hill and Noah Scotting (3-0), Karl Williams and Jack Mayoh (3-1), and James Hubbard and Oliver King (3-1) secured their place in the semi-finals.
Awaiting them in the last four were Jenson Macey and Riley Milligan, who had produced an impressive run of their own, including victories over Ryan Carter and Bradley Coltman, Jack Brown and Kieren Dobson, and Paul Hogan and Jim McEwan. Willetts and Bridgwater proved too strong however, claiming a 3-1 victory to reach the final.
The other half of the draw saw Jayden Walker and Adam Lipscombe build momentum with a series of commanding performances. The pair dropped very few legs on their way to the final, defeating Owen Carr and Jonas Stagg, Kieran Smith and Brandon Richardson, and then overcoming Joe Croft and Geoffrey Heath 3-0 in the semi-finals.
The final brought together two of the tournament's standout partnerships and delivered a fitting conclusion to the event. Walker and Lipscombe battled hard throughout, but Willetts and Bridgwater produced their best darts when it mattered most. After establishing control of the match, they closed out a 3-1 victory to secure the England Open Pairs title and lift one of the weekend's most prestigious trophies.
